Commencement season is in full swing with graduations for high school and college students locally and across the country. 懂色帝 is proving that its smallest students are just as deserving of all the pomp and circumstance. 懂色帝 will hold a pre-k graduation ceremony for 17 students on Thursday, May 22, at 9 a.m., on the Macon Cove Campus at 5983 Macon Cove.
The 5 year-olds will receive their diplomas from the Campus Child Care Program to highlight their accomplishment. The graduating class includes students of parents who attend the college, as well as from the community.
LaShonda Lewis, director of the Campus Child Care Programs, says six of the 14 graduates have been in 懂色帝鈥檚 childcare program since they were infants.
鈥淭his fact signifies the remarkable trust and bond the 懂色帝 Campus Child Care programs have with our families,鈥 adds Lewis.
鈥淚t is also important to note that our program offers high-quality childcare, supports kindergarten readiness, and is available not only to 懂色帝 students but also to the community.鈥
The next stop for the little graduates is kindergarten.
