How Does Counseling Benefit You?

Counseling is a unique source of support. It allows you to receive adequate care and therapeutic interventions from a professional trained to help you tackle life's toughest problems.

Confidential

Your counselor prioritizes your privacy. What is said in counseling stays in counseling. Sessions are confidential.

One on One

This is your much-deserved you time. In this setting, your counselor will meet one-on-one with you providing ample time and space for sharing concerns.

Talk it Out

Need to talk? Vent? Process difficult experiences? Allow our professionally-trained mental health counselor to assist you.

Counseling is available at the Union Avenue Campus on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; the Macon Cove Campus on Tuesdays and Fridays; and at our centers by appointment. Faculty or staff who wish to refer a student for counseling services should submit a referral form. Students who wish to make a counseling appointment should contact Kimberly Weddington at 901-333-5121, or kweddington@southwest.tn.edu.
